It is also suitable for individuals with disabilities and older adults seeking gentle yet effective exercise.

Where are your hydrotherapy pools located in Brisbane?
Our hydrotherapy pools are located in various convenient locations across Brisbane, including the Clem Jones Centre in Carina, Colmslie Pool, Beenleigh Pool, Acacia Ridge Pool, and Underwood Pool. Each facility offers a comfortable and therapeutic environment for our clients.
Are the pools warm?
While the temperature of hydrotherapy rehabilitation pools can vary depending on the facility, they are typically kept between 32 and 36 degrees celsius. This warmth helps to relax muscles and ease pain, making it ideal for those who are recovering from an injury or surgery. The water also provides gentle resistance that can help to build strength and improve the range of motion. In addition, the warmth of the water can help to increase blood flow and promote healing. As a result, hydrotherapy pools play an important role in the rehabilitation process.

Can I do hydrotherapy without a physiotherapist?
While it is possible to perform hydrotherapy exercises on your own, we strongly recommend having a physiotherapist guide your sessions, especially if you are new to hydrotherapy or have specific medical conditions. A physiotherapist can ensure that the exercises are tailored to your needs, performed correctly, and that your progress is monitored to prevent injury and maximise benefits. If you prefer to do hydrotherapy independently, we suggest first consulting with a physiotherapist to develop a safe and effective exercise plan. If you want to do an independent session contact the pool directly and check their availability prior.
